Electricity
This station will demonstrate current and static electricity using plasma balls and simple circuits. BEST results in the dark!
Dry Ice
Ever wondered how the infamous fog effect is generated? You guessed it…dry ice! Not only is this extremely cold form of carbon dioxide good at fogging up a room, it is also used to illustrate several other cool effects. During this demonstration, children learn all of the chilling facts behind dry ice, in addition to conjuring up a few magical potions using the element itself.
Optical Illusions
This station is full of mind-blowing illusions. The children will learn about reflection, diffraction, and other ways of tricking the brain!
Magnet Booth
Students will get to explore the marvels of magnets by learning about the north and south poles and the laws of attraction. We will also be exploring the power of electromagnets and the miracle of ferrofluid.
Air Pressure
Experiment with the power of air using Stomp Rockets, ping-pong balls, and hair dryers.
Rocks & Minerals
Get hands on with rocks and minerals! Learn about the different rock types and some of the factors Scientists use to identify minerals. Get ready to rock with fun facts about volcanic rocks, geodes, Fool’s Gold, and then use graphite minerals to write notes!\n
